Unit 3 Ideas and Concepts

Mini project Trainers

You have been asked by a leading shoe company to produce at least two images of their new range of trainers to promote them to the age range of 17-24

You should aim to draw mind maps of ideas before shooting your images. Your images should be well thought out and be easily recognized as positive promotion to the said age range.
Think what makes trainers appeal to the age range. Research other trainer Ads.
These can be unisex images or be aimed at males or females.
The main aspect of this project is evidence of planning, and ideas

Mind map of ideas for trainers to the age range of 17 - 24.
Areas to think about when taking the photos.

Try out images that I've experimented with and possible backgrounds that could be used.

1/120 F/2.4  ISO64

1/30 F/2.4  ISO64

Both of these pictures have a good combination of colours on the walls and different gradients of light.

1/200 F/8  ISO100

Quite a nice background in this image and the light highlights the trainers although the shadow is not so good in the middle of the picture.

1/30 F/2.2  ISO200

1/80 F/5  ISO500

1/50 F/4.5  ISO400

1/60 F/0  ISO200

Some graffiti tags used as a background for the advert but i do need to get a bit closer to the trainers.

Images that I've found that could help to influence my ideas.
Colour, light and possibly to have people involved.

Although theses images are black and white they really do create such a good picture although not so good for showing different colours.

A Good picture of these lads taken during 1980s in New York show a good example of how to show people with their style of clothing and how the trainers work with it!

These are the two main final images I've chosen for the
trainer ads.

This first image i have chosen
is at a deralict building in fields away from a built up area, it has a good combination of colours and helps the trainers to stand out and show the style of them. The colour of the brick work  between the black and green either side and the white sole draws you to the centre of the picture.

1/125 F/7.1  ISO100

The second image I've chosen is against some art work that has some brighter colours in the back ground, this helps you to be drawn to the picture. I am quite pleased with how the light has faded in on the right side of the panel and this helps the trainers stand out well

1/40 F/3.5  ISO250

Evaluation of the Project

At the beginning of the project i began by trying to find possible areas to use for final images, my first ideas were to be using Graffiti also art work and fairly brighter colours which could appeal to a younger age group and help to make the trainers stand out. I did experiment with some graffiti tags that i had found but i couldn't manage to get an image that made the trainers stand out very well.
I was thinking about having somebody wearing the trainers but i decided against it because i didn't want to give the message that they were for one particular type of person.
The final images i was happy with and i believe that they have made the trainers stand out well against a different contrast of colours in the back ground and this should appeal to a younger age group hopefully.
I think if i was to do this again i would probably use people wearing the trainers and possibly take a shot from a bit of distance away instead of so close up, this helps the person looking at the advert to see how they can be worn what they actually look like on your your feet, It would be good to show more of the area you've decided to take the picture as well.

Mini Project 2: Selfies.

Selfies seem now to be an integral part of our social life, and social media are jammed with individual selfies, Famous with the famous, unusual selfies, humorous selfies, lonely selfies.
Your mini brief this week is to create three selfies.

A Sad Selfie.
A Funny Selfie.
A surprise selfie with a complete stranger.

Selfie research that I've found and looked at.

This frame that has been made for this mans pinhole selfie is really quite something and it makes for such a good photograph.

This really is such a good picture of Qam Milli and light works so well, especially the shadows on her face and arms with strands of hair round her neck and forehead, because the vest top she has on is darker it pushes her arm and hand to the front. the background is quite plain and really does push her figure towards you.

Another really good picture which would have probably been done around the same time as the one above, it works so well in colour and her hair and vest top again stand out so well against the background, the very light yellow and brown stipe help to frame her and also the reflection in the mirror on the right hand side.

This is such a good Selfie by Mr Sammy Davis Jnr taken back 1950s or maybe 60s, it really does show a good depth of field and you really are drawn to his face on the left. Such a good facial expression as well.

A picture that was taken by these two ladies back in the 1960s in a Photo Booth has come out so well, their hair and the dark light fading from the bottom of the picture has helped to really make their faces stand out so well. Also certain parts of their faces show well against quite a lighter colour because of makeup and slight shadows around their mouths.

The composition of this picture is good and the light shone through from the left on to his shirt and face really makes him stand out on the left.

Hunter S Thompson with a selfie from what looks like out of a moving vehicle with his hair being blown to the left, the darkness of his glasses, hair, shadows on his face and coat against the lighter tone of the background make him stand out so well.

Bjork and Spike Jonze make a great selfie here with what looks like some kind of advertising in the background, its quite nice how the top of his head is not shown.

A lot of the pictures i have looked at have been taken in black and white, in some ways i almost prefer this style of photo.

Plans and thoughts of how to approach the selfies
First thoughts mind map.

Plans towards final images.

I will approach the selfies by just taking quite a lot of pictures which will give me a good amount to finally choose from. for the sad picture i think i will try to use darker tones of light as this can sometimes help to show more of sad feeling with shadows on the face and also maybe not so many lighter areas. I will maybe use the night time to take the picture as this will help me to achieve the light effect I'm after, for the funny picture i will be doing the opposite and will try to use sunlight for example to help brighten up the mood of the image and also a happier expression on my face. in terms of location I'm not to worried, it will be shot when I'm in a really good mood or something fantastic has happened or maybe if I've had some good news for example.

These are two pictures I've taken but certain things needed to be changed like the angle of my head and especially the lighter area in the sad picture it needs to be a lot of a darker tone.

Also the expression on my face isn't really how i want it to be and in some ways it doesn't seem that happy.

This picture is slightly on a bit of an angle as well, although this could give a nice effect and would make the image seem a bit more natural in some ways.

  • 3 final Selfies i have chosen.
    This is my Happy/funny Picture

I chose this particular photo because of the light and how the sun is shining from behind, straight across and also down towards the bottom of the picture. I have also managed to have my head in the centre of the picture and my facial expression is that of a very happy person.

    This is my sad picture

I chose this for the sad selfie, I feel i have achieved the things that i had planed and the darkness from the left to the right and over the top of my head really do work. the shadows underneath my eye brows, the bottom of my nose and my upper lip really do help with the sad feeling of this image. it was good to have light shining on strands of my hair and also on my face, the lighter tones from the arm of my jacket draw you towards my face as well

Surprise selfie with a complete stranger

This is the picture i chose for the selfie with a stranger, it did work quite well with how the light is casting from the top right hand side of the photo, also parts of the vehicle stand out and bring your eye towards the person getting into the car. the road behind does help to make you look towards the centre of the photograph and at the car as well.

Evaluation of the project

This really was an interesting project and it is something i have never actually done before, taking a selfie. You really can produce quite an image and as I've said before you can also take quite a lot of pictures to make sure you do get want in the end. Sometimes you don't actually realise the image you've created until you properly look at it afterwards with certain effects it has which in someways is a good thing.
It has gone reasonably well and I'm happy with the final photographs that I've produced  although next time i would definitely think more about the location and when i choose to take the photograph, it really does show how much light and different tones within the picture mean so much too the final image. It really does make the image look slightly different to always see your arm holding the phone when taking the picture, unless you use the technique of using a mirror like people have done in the research pictures I've looked at. Also it would have been a good idea to have used the timed shot on a DSLR and i could have produced a better quality picture.

Project 3: Last Seven Days

The scenario is that in one weeks time there will be nothing left of you except the seven pictures found in your camera that you took in the last seven days of your life.
For this mini - one week – project you are to take one image every day, and these images will be your only representation, the only evidence that you existed.

First thoughts and ideas mind map

My Photographs found on my camera of the last seven days

1/20  F11 ISO3200

I like the composition on this photograph, how the darker area and music equipment is in the middle but the lighter colours of the wall and floor are a good background and almost frame it.

1/200 F8.0 ISO100

The railway tracks on this picture do draw you into the back ground as they get smaller also the tree line helps with this. Shadows along the tracks which go from left to right split the image up well but they do have a good gradient so its not just a dark block of colour.

1/25  F14 ISO200

the grass and the path and tarmac are a nice light tone and help the legs stand out, i think the composition has worked quite well the person is close to the right edge and it is quite a good free area on the left with lighter tones

1/8  F14 ISO100

The darker side on the right combines well with the colours of the bicycle and it lightens up towards the left hand side, also the grass makes the bike stand out and the light tone of the bench that goes into the right helps to split up the dark area of the bags in the middle.

1/4  F4.5 ISO800

I quite like yellow tone of this photograph and the fact that it is has quite low light makes some good shoes with the shadows. the composition has worked well and i am right in the middle of the image, it was nice to have a lot on the table as well.

1/4  F4.5  ISO800

This picture is quite similar to the one above but it seems to work well when there's less light, the box of records brings you in to the middle and the record leaning out makes you focus into you to the centre. dark shadows on the right help to bring the box and record to the front.

1/10 F22 ISO200

This was taken in the front of the car as it was driving and has made such an interesting image. Trees on the left and right have captured the movement so well and also the car on the right, although when you look into the centre where the road gets smaller they are more in focus.

Evaluation
this was a good project and it was interesting and made you find out and use so many different techniques to produce an image you really wanted. it was good to try and take the picture in a lot of different places and surroundings and it helped you to realise and get used to what certain settings you needed to use at different times. if i was to do this again i think i would try and make the photograph be a bit more free and not try to get it exactly how i wanted as this would be a bit less controlled and it would give you more choices for your final selection.

Ideas and Concepts Mini project Unusual Portrait

For this weeks mini project you have to create one unusual portrait. You can make it very simple by choosing an unusual location or doing something unusual with your subject, you can use props or dress them up in unusual clothing.

Some research pictures i have found which have helped me to come up with my final unusual portrait.

The colour in this picture works so well and the way it has been taken makes his jumper and hat slightly blurred but his face is sharp and the dark areas and shadows bring his face to the front.

This is does show two types of the picture after light adjustments have been made. The image on the right really does show the texture of the mans face against the material of his cap and the hair of his beard. It does pull out areas you don't see so much from the one on the left.

This picture uses a quite simple background but the tonal difference brings the girl to the front, i also like how she's stood a bit to the left and also how the brick line runs down from the top righthand corner. The way she has her hands in her hair give it more of a natural edge and almost not like a pose for the picture, which i do like the idea of.

This is an amazing picture of such a well know jazz musician John Coltrane playing the soprano saxophone, the movement of his hands on the instrument is such a good effect just below his face. shadows around his body, face and the slight gradient around his arms bring him out in a subtle way and make him the main focus of the picture.

these pictures i really do like and seem to capture so much especially with facial expressions, it is a very nice feature to have movement within the photograph and in some ways if the  main subject is in focus it makes them stand out but still makes of a very interesting image with a lot of things happening

Development to my final choice

These are some images that I've taken to help me develop the final chosen picture.
The tones of light in the first research photograph and also the image with John Coltrane is something i think i will try and work with, it seems to really make the person stand out and makes such good effect and texture.

1/4 F18  ISO100

This was the image i took before there was somebody in the picture just to see how the background would look, the yellow is nice against the blue on the left and also the dark shadows.

1/60 F5.0  ISO100

I like this photo but the figure is slightly out of focus although the light in the background works very well, the blue sky creates a nice contrast against the left as well.

3"2 F8.0  ISO100

I really do like how this picture turned out although my face is quite out of focus, the moving light on the left has created such an amazing effect. i think it is slightly to dark in some areas though.

3"2 F8.0  ISO100

The movement of light has has made a fantastic shape in this picture and i like how it is covering the bottom of my face. the coat on the door right behind has not really worked that well, it blends in well with the hair also i am slightly out of focus.

My chosen unusual portrait

1"6 F5.0 ISO100

This was the choice for the Portrait, i think that the light has worked well. Its good how the light is cast on the righthand side of the face and the dark coat hanging on the corner of the door adds well to the jacket I'm wearing and also the colour of my hair. the colour of the walls and doors help to make me stand out but not to much. I really did want to use the light on the righthand side, which is actually a lighter that was moved around during the exposure. It leaves such a nice effect and it starts from the right of my face and into plain wall. The composition of the picture has worked well and i like how the image is split from the darker area to the lighter wall on the left also it has worked well with the moving light in the middle and the door behind.

Evaluation

This was quite a quite a hard assessment but it was good to experiment with a lot of different settings, light and different backgrounds, i did find that  a trial and error process  really did help you to progress. I did focus around creating quite a low light picture which does help with shadows and makes hi lighted areas stand out very well, this did help with the lighter i was moving in front of the camera. If i was to do this again i would definitely try to experiment with pictures taken outside and possibly having more colour within it and maybe focus on the head a bit more and bring it closer.

Week 6.
Mini project.
Photographing Strengths and Weaknesses

Your task this week is to photograph your given subject of either strength or weakness.
Think about the group tutorial where we have discussed the attributes of strength and weakness.
You can choose to photograph the term in a literal way showing either strength or weakness literally, or you can choose to photograph the term in an emotional way using your ideas and concepts skill to examine ways to photograph strength and weakness emotionally.
You should include on your blog researched images that you think show strength and weakness. These could be film stills or advertising images. Please include your own annotation that reasons why you think the images show strengths and weaknesses.

Images that show strength in some way, with some kind of activity and expressions, movement of the body or just images of things like items that represent strength.

Chris Johnson

This is such a good photograph, the way the movement is captured from the flat bank up to the block, the light tracing effect helps express this so well and both areas of light go up the figure. I think this does represent strength with the movement and energy that is used to do the trick itself.

Jim Saah Learned How to Use His Camera During the Height of DC Hardcore

This is a great photo to show strength the with the intense singing of Henry Rollins while Black Flag are playing a set. it works really well being in black and white and it brings him to the front but you can still see the people watching behind him.

Fred Bonatto

I think this is a really active photo, two people working behind the bar and people drinking the other side, looking like they're having a good night after a few drinks. The light works so well just below the right corner and does show the moment within the picture. This gives the sense of strength in that these people have a good strong friendship and are having a good night out or celebrating something.

Norman Behrendt, The faces of Berlin Graffiti

This photo by Behrendt is a good example of strength with the person running along the top of a  what looks like a moving subway car. the shear strength and courage of the person to actually do this has to be quite something. The composition of the picture is fantastic and the train cars curve round to the Right and draw you towards the person. Colours of the train cars stand out so well especially against the green of the trees on the left and right. Also The lighter tone of the sky and also the road underneath the bridge help to make the carriages the main focal point, the shadows from the bridge and buildings create good shapes that show good perspective.

Fred Bonatto

This Photograph does have an element of weakness to it, it looks like the young person hanging out of the train carriage could almost look a bit unhappy or worried in some ways, also the colour of the  surroundings and the condition of the carriage kind of makes you think that. It is a really good combination of the straight hard side of the carriage against the grass and thin tree line on the right, both of these and the train lines draw you into to the centre.

Fred Bonatto

The subject of this photograph is sat on a step right in the middle of the picture, the composition does bring your eye into this area, dark shadows on the left and right help with this. The lamppost and bins on the left are a good addition, lighter lines on the bins and the shadow from the lamppost goes right under his feet and into the left of the image.

The person looks as if they could be having a hard time and maybe something bad has happened, also the fact that it was taken at night can give you this impression. The head of the person on the left is looking directly at the camera which does give quite a natural feel and can make you think that it's not set up.

Harald Hauswald, Erich miekes football holligans

This is Harald Hauswald picture of football hooligans around the 1980s, he would also capture pictures of workers and even farmers and would shape peoples perception of East Germany. I think they are amazing photos taken at a time when a lot was happening in Germany especially with the split of the East and West by the Berlin wall. this picture can show some kind of weakness to it, with the position of the lad sat down on the floor against the tree with people walking behind him, it looks like he is asleep or something has happened to him.

Plans for final Photographs

There are quite a lot of options for both of these types of subjects but for strength i think I'm going to try and use some kind of activity, maybe skateboarding similar to that of the first picture i looked at my research it is such a good way to show strength of the body for sure also the traces of light do show the movement so well. Ideas for weakness i will try to use the position of the figure in quite a low down or maybe tired position even the expression on somebodies face can help to show this also the use of shadows or quite low light or even taken at night and possibly taken in black and white similar to some of the pictures i have looked at for research.

Here are some of my pictures to help me to decide on the final images

1/80 F/0  ISO100

I felt that this picture was good to show the subject of strength at a cycling race, you can see the cyclists approaching they are right in the centre of the picture and the sunlight helps as it is directly above them.

1/80 F/0  ISO100

This photograph of train carriages linked together is a good example of strength just because its large pieces of of steal connected with the large linking system. The composition has worked very well with the end of the carriage in the centre, then the link just to the right. It was taken with a wide angled lens which does make the end of the carriage the focal point.

1/15 F/2.8  ISO400

I thought that this photograph was a good bit of development for the area of weakness the light is from a lamp on the lower lefthand corner, it makes a nice darker tone on the right but it makes the t-shirt stand out and also the bed sheets and the small table its on.

 Mini project
Title

Long Exposure night photography

Many photographers explore the night with their cameras, often revealing more than the eye can see.
Your mini brief for the next two weeks is to explore the night with your camera.

You will need a tripod or something solid to rest your camera on. Your brief is to have your camera set at 100 ISO
Your camera should be set to Aperture priority at an aperture of F8 Be prepared for to wait while the camera shutter stays open for quite some time, probably for about a minute or two.
Take photographs of fireworks, traffic passing, the night sky, a lit building, people passing in the night, even lightning can be captured this way.
Experiment with shining a torch on to a subject you wish to photograph in complete blackness.
This is quite experimental, some images you will think as failures whilst others may have the wow factor.
An alternative is to set the camera to ISO 200 and set the camera to Shutter priority.

Again rest the camera on something solid or a tripod.

Set the shutter speed to 30 seconds (the maximum)

Aim the camera at moving subjects within the frame, sometimes with lit phones or torches and see what images you can make.

You can set the camera to Manual and set the shutter speed to ‘bulb’ this will keep the shutter open for as long as you have your finger pressing the shutter down. (tedious for an hour!) but interesting nonetheless.

- You should end with your three final ‘best’ pictures on your blog
- You should also have a few failures on your blog with descriptions of why they failed.
- You should have a description of your approach to the assignment, how much experimental, how much planning was involved

Research Photographs taken at night

Photos that were taken using long shutter speeds

A street in india whilst there is a lot of traffic moving and lights from different shops also street lights.

A London taxi turning outside the railway station at Sutton, London.

Amusement ride or fair ground ride.

When a slow shutter speed is used traffic it makes the lights from moving cars or bicycles or even fairground rides like the image above.

Some of my own Photographs using a slow shutter speed

6" F11 ISO200

6" F11  ISO200

8" F11  ISO200

These pictures have worked quite well although i think that there's not enough light, the moving cars have created a really good effect with the traces from their headlights and rear lights, you can see movements in these traces where the car has maybe gone over a dip in the road.

Some more Photographs that are failures

These are taken at a good spot, but they're slightly out of focus, this was caused by movement of the camera during the long exposure. the first picture was taken in early evening so the sky still shows to much light although it does split the image with a light tone above the tree line, lights from the traffic street lights and supermarket signs draw into the lower section.

2" F5.6  ISO100

3"2 F5.6  ISO400

3"2 F5.6  ISO400

These last two photographs worked well although i think it would have been better taking it a bit closer to the roundabout, the moving traffic has created such fantastic light traces and also the sky is a lot darker which is better, the traffic is strait through the centre it will make a better image to have the light a lot closer.

Photographs I've taken that have worked very well, all of these have been taken in focus and with dark night time light.

15" F8.0  ISO100

13" F8.0  ISO100

13" F8.0  ISO100

I Think these pictures have captured amazing light traces from the car headlights and rear lights, it leaves such a good effect when see the different colours of lights especially when i was above the traffic on a bridge. The roundabout catches good light as the traffic is moving around it.

Final Photographs

13 F8.0  ISO100

13" F8.0  ISO100

10" F8.0  ISO100

My approach to the project was to try and find the best place to find traffic moving and to   go through different shutter speeds to find the best for catching a strong headlight trace, i did experiment with areas to take the photograph and the best places were on the foot bridge over the road and next to a roundabout. It was really important where you would decide to put your camera especially with it being on a tripod and it needed some time for taking the photo because of the slow shutter speed. There was quite a lot of planning for

the brief, getting out to certain places at night and also at times when i knew there would            be a good amount of traffic because otherwise you could be waiting and maybe only one    car would pass by, it was so much better to have a lot of traffic as it would make a solid   light trace.

Photographing something we can’t see.

Some things are quite difficult to take photographs of, especially if you can’t see it. So how do you photograph it?

Well your subject certainly won’t be in the photograph, so it’s probably best to hint at the subject, this could be an emotion or mood, or if you really think outside of the box you could photograph a space where something has been with only evidence left of what was there... ...your dinner for instance. You could use this theory on any subject, a tennis ball that has been hit out the photograph of it being hit, a horse (or at least the stable where it once was), A building that has been demolished, and so on.

This is probably a challenging subject that will stretch your imagination but you should be open to lateral thinking, try something that will challenge the viewer.

Your project this week is to take a photograph of something we can’t see Submit only One image with the title of the subject underneath... as above.

Please include your plans and ideas for this project as this is an integral part of the ideas and concepts brief.

Some research photographs

Plans i have for this brief are to take pictures of empty abandoned buildings, I'm choosing to do this because it makes you think of what could have once been in the building or people that would have been there at some point. This gives the effect of something you can't see as it has already been there and left for some reason, it really does make every body think for themselves what are those reasons to why they are empty or why have people left.

Gregg Obst Diner at Whitehouse station New Jersey

1/13 F16.0  ISO200

I liked the way the picture was taken with how the grey clouds seem to show movement the diner and the bushes really do show how long its been disused and also the growth in the parking area, although  the neon lights of the sign have been turned on.

Chris Folsom Photos of Abandoned  Buildings

The light in the centre at the end of the corridor really does show all of the texture of the spelling paint from the walls either side and also the rule on the, a dark shadow on the floor and the two doors on each side help to split the corridor into sections.

Expired products still sit in the cafeteria at the abandoned Meat Factory. Pictures taken at an abandoned meat factory Situated in old East Berlin, the Alte Fleischfabrik (Old Meat Factory).

The view through the window of the disused factory works really well as a background behind the table with the expired jars with the cup and saucer, the lighter tone of the factory through the windows makes everting inside the window the main focal point and also the shadows either side of the table and the bars running down the windows help this.

Abandoned meat factory on a snowy, cold, dark day

I'm going to try and find a building that has a a lot of character to it and it really will make you wonder why its empty, i do want to find somewhere that has a lot of texture and derelict look to it, not a building that has been left it the last month. this is because it will give a lot more texture, different light and darkness creating more character.

The pale tone of brown on the wall on the left and also on the part of the building that almost meets the chimney stand out so well against the pale sky and also the snow on the ground and roof. When you look at the building itself you can tell the factory hasn't been working for some time just because of the state it, just because it's not maintained in any way and it has no life.

Thomas Wray Hinge 2007 - Margate Park, Chicago, IL

The way the rusted door hinge, with still some paint which leaves some white against the colour of the rust with also the shadow from the door and what looks a like a wire fence gives a lot of texture and different shapes. You can definitely see the age of the age of the rusting metal and how it has not been touched for a while.

Thomas Wray Late Summer Twilight Photo from the City - September 2015 - Chicago, IL

I really do like how this picture has been taken, the fact that there is a sofa on the road outside and the composition of how its almost right in the middle, it makes you think why is it there, maybe it was dumped or somebody brought it out of a house to sit on in the summer for a while.

1970 Bronx River, Bronx

1970 Eagle and Westchester, Avenues, Bronx

These last two photographs were taken by Camilo Jose Vergara who was in New York from 1968 and became a well known street photographer during a bad economic time, these pictures show urban decay and people living in poverty. Both of these are fantastic pictures of a very hard time, the young boy looking into the river with a car leaning out of it and the decay surrounding him does make you think, what was there?
The dark tones of the buildings, rubble, abandoned cars and even the trees really does show the state of the Bronx at that time and again it makes you wonder what did it once look like?

My Own Photographs for development

These photographs were taken at a disused tower block building near Temple Meads Station, i think it was a fantastic place to get pictures about my chosen subject. there was also a disused pub, the Cattle Market Tavern which would have had a lot of business from people working in the building.

1/25 F8.0  ISO400

1/25 F5.0  ISO200

1/20 F16  ISO200

These last three pictures were taken using a 50 mm lens which gives the nice effect that enables you to focus on an object and makes the background slightly blurred but not totally out of focus, it does give you a very good focus as well.

1/20 F16  ISO200

This picture is a good shot of the top of the pub, showing growth of bushes out of the roof and boarded out windows and you can also see the crumbling wall as well.

1/25 F16  ISO400 -
Photographing something we can’t see.

I chose this to be my final picture as it shows the corner of the pub on the left of the image, it also has a large metal gate with barbed wire and a piece of heras fencing balanced on top. You can also see a roof which is falling apart on the right with a tree growing up from it just in front of the tower block. Graffiti on the gate and corner of the pub help you to realise its been abandoned for quite some time. I think this has worked out as i had planned you can see the inside of the building is completely empty and its just a concrete shell, its quite obvious that it's totally disused, it does make wonder why this would happen, how many people and activity would have once been there.

Activity - Durex Group Work

Our First ideas on how we came up with are advertisement

The four of us sat down together and talked about something we could come up with that would create a good good advertisement with a short message that would be easy to understand and also for it to be done in a slightly tongue and cheek way. This way it would be focused around all different ages and would definitely put the message across well.
We all had similar parts in our time of discussion and we all fully agreed on the final out come, we decided that our idea would make a great newspaper advert but in some ways it would also work quite well in all of the other categories.

These are the first drawings of our team posters or what could be the start of our advertisement campaign.

Evaluation to the assignment
I think we worked together really well and the idea that we came up with is something that would definitely be remembered, like i have said previously i think i could be used in many different ways, TV, Radio, Newspapers and even magazines as it it quite a short message that gets straight to the point. We put our idea across well and i think everybody seemed to think it worked well and and would help to advertise the Durex brand
